Twenty individuals are reported missing following a cloudburst in Shimla's Rampur. According to the district administration, the disaster management authority was alerted to the cloudburst near a hydroelectric power project at Samej Khad earlier today. A disaster response team has been dispatched to the scene, and high-ranking officials, including Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap and District Police Chief Sanjeev Gandhi, are en route.

Mr. Kashyap stated, "Based on the information we have, approximately 20 people are missing from the area impacted by the cloudburst."

The cloudburst has disrupted road access to the area, so rescue teams are attempting to reach the site on foot.

Cloudbursts have also struck Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, approximately 125 km from Shimla. According to an order issued by Mandi Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan, cloudbursts in Rajban village near Muhal Terang have caused road blockages and landslides. "Given these conditions, the movement of staff, school and college students, and trainees may not be safe and should be restricted," the Deputy Commissioner announced, directing that all educational institutions and vocational training centers in the Padhar subdivision remain closed.

The monsoon's impact has also disrupted daily life in neighboring Uttarakhand. Two people have died and another was injured due to a cloudburst in Jakhanyali, Tehri Garhwal district. The deceased have been identified as Bhanu Prasad (50) and Anita Devi (45). A spokesperson from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) reported that they had received information about three people missing after a cloudburst last night. "During the search, SDRF recovered two bodies and rescued an injured person from a 200-meter-deep ditch. He was brought out on a stretcher," the spokesperson said, according to an report.

In Haridwar, two children were killed and nine others injured when the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed due to heavy rainfall, according to officials. The deceased were identified as Aas Mohammed (10) and Nagma (8). District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal informed ANI that three of the injured are in critical condition, while the others are hospitalized but out of danger. He added that the house, being in a dilapidated state, collapsed under the intense rain.
